It's the Berries!

'tis the time for strawberry shortcake, strawberries 'n' cream, strawberry shakes--anything strawberry, especially here in Watsonville on the Central Coast of California where I live. When I was in Ohio in May I shopped for groceries with my daughter and sure enough, the basket of strawberries she selected came from my home city. I so enjoy living in this agricultural community. Bless the hard workers who plant and pick month after month so I can enjoy these mouth-watering morsels straight from heaven. I'm humbled by the sight of the land, so faithful to produce its crops year after year, generation after generation. And it will be doing its job long after I'm gone. But while I'm here, I praise God for this bounty.
