February in Santa Cruz, California

Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park--the perfect place for a winter walk near the Central Coast of California. This is a great getaway for exercise, contemplation, prayer, and quiet--experiences I need often. I'm grateful for the opportunities to hang out in this forest of ancient redwoods, moss, and fields of clover. Nature is the best antidote to stress. Thank you, God, for this gift.

Hi Karen,

Looks like you have found a great place to relax. I love the woods. I don't know why but it makes you feel closer to God while in nature.

My fav place is the beach and walking in the hard sand. As long as there isn't a ton of people there. Not that I don't like people but if I go to alone with God, a bunch of people don't meet my criteria. LOL.

Thats why I go in the middle of the week. I usually spend three or four days there. The ocean reminds me so much of God; the vastness, the bigness, the depth, the width, the power, and peacefulness of the whole experience.

You have a great week week and I hope that you enjoyed your walk. It looks like a great place

Jim
