Writing and Friendship

Here's a photo of me (left/pink blouse), my literary agent Janet,(red jacket) and three writing friends, Georgia, Penny and Nikki. Writing is hard, solitary work. It is so good to know there are other people who understand what it's like to search one's mind and heart for just the right words, to meet deadlines no matter what, and to turn in a manuscript and wait for a verdict! I treasure the company of women friends who are also writers and who share the ups and downs of life as a wordsmith. Thank you, one and all.

How cool is this that you have so many friends that have the same aspirations as you and that you all can keep each other accountable to deadlines and wordsmithing.

My neighbor was an author also and we talked a lot but alas, I had to move.

I think that this aspect of writing is very important and I will search out a group myself and at least a colleague or two to further my craft at my new city of residence.

God bless you Karen.
