Friends!

Here's a photo of my friend Suzan and me after a wind-blown walk along the San Diego Bay during my visit to the city. FRIENDS is not just a television program. It's a living relationship between people who love, admire, respect, and enjoy each other. That's the kind of friend I have in Suzan. Robert Louis Stevenson once said, "A friend is a present you give yourself." Suzan and I have given such a gift to each other.

Thank you for your warm message about our friendship! In spite of the miles, you live in my heart, Karen!

Friends are great Karen, that's for sure. I found a new friend myself who I met this last Friday.

He is a fellow author and a pastor of a small church a few miles from here. He is a great guy and writer.

He has four books published with a new one due out in July. I met him at his book signing. I plan on going to his church a few times. (Too far away to frequent.)

I continue to work on mine and am excited about it. I coined a phrase in my last book of what a friend is: A friend is the heart closest to yours.

Have a great day Karen and GBY and Charles
